Whatsapp new beta version added launcher app shortcut support ~ Android Knowledge

In the last Google I/O 2017, Google announced Android O's new launcher app shortcut feature for that you can access some functions directly from the app icon without opening the app. Now, whatsapp added to this list. Whatsapp new beta version comes with the launcher shortcut.

Whataapp rolling out a new beta version that supports for the app launcher shortcuts. Now, you get a option Camera for directly launch the camera app. The second option is a new chat for start a new conversation. After this two options you find you three contacts from there you can directly open chat with them. You can also create shortcut icons on homescreen.

Now, the first option Camera is may be useful for those who like to click and update their status on whatsapp. But, the second option is a little bit odd, because i don't think everyone like to create a new chat daily. Now, came to the other three contacts that showing up are not pinned in whatsapp, not recently chatting with them and even never chatted with them. So, there is no sense for showing them.

Currently, this feature available in the beta version, but we expect that whatsapp fix and improve this feature before launching it for the official app. So, if you like to try this feature click the download link given below.
