Google officially announced Android Go in there Google I/O 2017. In simple word, Android Go is the lighter version of Android OS, which will be friendly with budget- smartphones the in market. A fewyears ago Google launched a similar effort called Android One, but this doesn't get much popularity. The Android Go is also coming with the Same target but with lots of improvements that may get a better response from the market.
Google says that Android Go will be the lightweight version of the upcoming Android O. Android Go is designed to run on smartphones that come with 1 GB or 512 MB of RAM. In short, the devices comes with 1 GB or less RAM will automatically run on Android Android Go. The OS is modified for run on midrange and low storage devices. The apps on Play Store will also be optimized to run on the lower-end device.

You also get YouTube Go, the lighter version of YouTube pre-installed. YouTube Go comes with some features like it allow users to download for offline viewing later if they are near a WiFi connection. This feature is available for paid YouTube Red subscribers, but this will be free for YouTube Go app and Android Go devices. You can also share YouTube Go offline videos directly from YouTube Go.
You can access data saving from your notification bar directly. The Play Store in Android Go is also featured apps specifically for data and power saving. So, the data and power management is the main fact in Android Go.
Google is targeting to launch Android Go in 2018, the right time of Android Go launch will be announced very soon.
