Now Cortana can be set as default assistant on your Android device ~ Android Knowledge

Coratana is the assistant app from Microsoft. Recently Microsoft released an update of the app for that now we can use cortana as our default assistant on Android device. As we use use Google assistant by long pressing the home button, now, we can use cortana in the same method.

The new feature comes with the latest update of cortana v2.8. Now, with the latest update you also get the assistant on you PC as well. If you missed a called the notification of that will be showing on your desktop if you use the same microsoft account on both devices. You also able to trigger reminders from your phone taht you set on your PC or laptop.

For use cortana as your default assistant simply open the app and log in with your Microsoft account. After log in cortana will give you the option to set cortana as your default assistant, tap on the option. Now, you are automatically go to the "Assist & Voice input" section. From there select Assist App and change it to Cortana from Google.

If cortana don't show the option you can manually do this by go to Settings>Apps>Defalut Apps>Assist & Input Voice>Assist App and select Cortana.
