If you using Android from beginning then you must be familiar with Android Market, the very own app store of Google before Play Store. Android Market is the apps store used for Android Eclair and earlier versions. But, finally Google has announced that it will officially end support for Android Market on the devices running on 2.1 Eclair & earlier version.
On June 30, the devices running on Android 2.1 Eclair & earlier will no longer able to access or install apps from the Android Market. As we all know Play Store is available from Android 2.2, which means if you using Android 2.1 or older versions then you are unable to use Any apps from App Store. But, the last survey shows that there are only 0.1% devices running on Android 2.1 Eclair or older versions. Si, this is not a big deal for most of Android users.
Another reason for closing the Android Market for old Android is that Version is less developers support. Most of the Android developers have stopped supporting Android 1.0 through Android 2.1. That means if Google will not close Android Market, then you still don't get any advantage, most of the apps not support for old Android versions.
